1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We collect information you provide when creating or maintaining an account, such as your username, email address, password in securely hashed form, profile photo, and optional profile details including phone number, date of birth, gender, city, country, and address.
Quest activity and submitted proof
We process quests you accept, completion status, rewards, XP, coins, interests, rankings, and proof you choose to submit. Depending on the quest, proof may include text, links, photographs, or a location submitted at the time of proof.
Device and operational information
We may process push-notification tokens, device and app information, IP address, timestamps, security events, and diagnostic information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Precise location is requested only for features that require it, such as submitting location proof.
2. How we use information
- Provide accounts, personalized quest discovery, proof review, rewards, rankings, and support.
- Authenticate users and protect Life Quests against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Deliver transactional messages and notifications requested through app settings.
- Maintain, diagnose, and improve service safety, reliability, and performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Permissions and your choices
Camera and photo-library access are used when you choose a profile picture or photo proof. Location access is used when you initiate location-based proof. Notification permission is used for quest results and service updates. You can revoke optional permissions in device settings.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with providers that operate cloud hosting, database and object storage, push notifications, and email delivery. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or during a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your username, profile image, level, XP, and ranking may be visible where community features are enabled. Quest proof is available to authorized moderators and is not publicly displayed unless a feature clearly says otherwise.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service. Security records may be retained for a limited period to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Upon deletion, we delete or anonymize associated personal data unless legitimate retention is required.
Initiate deletion inside Profile settings or through our Account Deletion page.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards including encrypted transport, access controls, secure credential hashing, restricted moderation access, and protected token storage. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
7. International processing
Service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international processing and transfers.
8. Children
Life Quests is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. Contact us if you believe a child provided information without appropriate authorization.
9. Your rights
Depending on location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing. We may verify your identity before completing a request.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as Life Quests evolves. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
